Empires: The Greeks - Crucible of Civilization (PBS, 2000)
A three-part PBS documentary series narrated by Liam Neeson, tracing the rise and fall of Classical Greece. Deepend built the companion interactive site, DVD, and WebTV overlay alongside Atlantic Productions, who made the series itself.
Credited as Producer, working with Tom Hostler (Project Director), David Streek (Design Director), and Fred Flade (Lead Designer). This was while I was at Deepend - my job was producing all the artefacts for the interactive DVD, which included tracking down an Ancient Greek scholar to get the pronunciation right for every piece of Greek text on the disc.
The site's interactive centrepiece - Greeks Interactive - was built in Flash 4, of a piece with the Sunbather-era Flash work from the same years.
Remarkably, PBS has never taken the site down. Twenty-five years on, it's still live at its original URL - a rare thing for anything built in 2000, let alone something built in Flash. This is my only IMDb credit.
